British Airways Pet Policy

If you’re travelling with a registered assistance dog, it can travel with you in the cabin on British Airways flights. All other pets travel in the hold as cargo, including Emotional Support Animals (except OpenSkies flights between Paris and New York where cats or dogs under 6kg/13.2lb are accepted in the cabin). But don’t worry, your furry friends will be just as comfortable in the carefully controlled environment.

All British Airways cargo is handled by our sister company, IAG World Cargo. They have decades of experience transporting animals and will look after your pet as if it were their own.

OpenSkies
You can travel with your cat or dog on board OpenSkies, our non-stop service between Paris and New York, in economy and premium economy if they weigh less than 6kg/13.2lb. If they weigh more than 6kg/13.2lb they will need to travel in the hold as cargo.
